Pioneer Balanced Investment Fund (Open-End)

The largest and the oldest Fund in Poland, it has been operating since July 28, 1992.

Pioneer Balanced Investment Fund (Open-End) is a balanced (mixed) fund, which means its investment portfolio contains both the stock of companies which have great potential for growth, as well as debt securities (e.g. bonds, treasury bills, commercial bills). Depending on the market situation proportions between the securities constituting fund assets may vary. It is up to the fund managers, who are responsible for ensuring appropriate income and stable growth of the investment portfolio.

The following investment limitations have been assumed for the Balanced Fund:

  • the total amount of investments in debt securities can not be less than 30% of the Fund asset value

  • the total amount of investments in equities can not exceed 70% of the Fund asset value.


  • The Pioneer Balanced Investment Fund (Open-End) is recommended to those investors who are oriented towards medium risk long-term investment as well as Members of the Active Savings Program and the Employee Savings Program.

    Investment Policy

    The percentage share of equities and debt securities in the fund`s assets is altered depending on the current financial market situation and forecasts for the overall economy.

    Equities

    Pioneer is famous for its effective cautious investment policy, which means that it avoids speculation investments. It selects the stock of companies with solid financial foundations, which promise a medium or long-term growth of value, while being undervalued by other investors.

    In assessing the value of stock Pioneer relies on the following:

  • company financial statements (for the past several years), including e.g. income analysis, profitability, structure and liquidity of financing
  • comparative analysis of companies market valuation indicators

  • evaluation of the products offered by the companies

  • opinions about management

  • companies market position, distribution networks

  • analysis of the companies prospects for growth.


  • Debt Securities

    Part of the portfolio is invested in debt securities and bank deposits. Their profitability is calculated mainly on the basis of forecasts of the basic financial market parameters, e.g. the height and types of interest rate changes, the level of return and the inflation rate.

    Within its category Pioneer 1 is one of the most effectively managed funds on the Polish market.


    Minimum payment to the fund: 500 PLN (opening a register), 100 PLN (each following payment).
