The American Fund is an equity fund whose objective is to attain asset value growth through the value growth of the fund`s investments. Up to 100% of the American Fund assets are invested in equities admitted for trading at the stock exchange or on the regulated OTC market in the United States. The Fund is a so-called clone of one of the oldest funds - Pioneer Fund - operating on the American market since 1928. John Carey, that manages both the clone and the original fund, shall strive at reflecting the same investment policy consistently pursued by the Pioneer Fund.
Due to its nature (equity fund) and its investment policy, the American Fund is meant for persons who consider a longer investment horizon, that is one of over 5 years. In shorter periods of time investors are exposed to investment value fluctuation resulting from price variations on the equities market. In the long run, however, they can count on the dynamic increase of fund asset value reflecting the American market`s rising trend and the growing profits generated by companies selected for the portfolio
Investment Policy
When selecting stocks for the Fund`s investment portfolio, the Fund Manager seeks companies with sound financial fundamentals with a low market price in relation to the anticipated earnings. Fund manager examine both the company`s current and predicted financial performance, they assess its products, the skills of its management, its market position, its distribution network, as well as general development prospects. Upon selecting companies the Fund does not make use of short term investment strategies such as market timing. Payments to and withdrawals from the Fund are made in Polish zloty (PLN), while all remaining transactions conducted by the Fund are executed in USD. Investing in the Fund, thus, involves currency rate risk connected with fluctuations of the Polish zloty rate in relation to the American dollar, which may affect the value of the Fund assets.
Minimum payment to the fund: 1000 PLN (opening a register), 500 PLN (each following payment).
